A new Haredi initiative provides Haredi "defectors" with a package of financial benefits and discounts, through a personal card, which is issued with the "defector's" name and ID number.

The card, issued by an ultra-Orthodox organization, provides discounts ranging from 5% to 50% at businesses across the country.

The organization openly says that the goal is to circumvent the economic sanctions and provide "financial support" to Torah scholars persecuted by the IDF authorities.

""As the country becomes more economically difficult, we seek to assist by lowering the cost of living and providing significant benefits, in order to make it as easy as possible for the yeshiva students and defectors. The sanctions will not break us," the organization says.

According to a report by Yoeli Barim on Channel 13, tens of thousands of tickets have been distributed so far out of a target of about 100,000.

The card also functions as a reloadable card that promises to expand the scope of benefits for tax evaders.
