Last night (Sunday), members of the Vizhnitz community in the city of Emmanuel were privileged to enter the hostel of the Vizhnitz Rebbe in Moshav Ora, and be blessed during the 'name-setting' ceremony for the community, which now numbers dozens of families.
The event was opened by Rabbi Shlomo Klein, one of the most prominent rabbis of Vizhnitz and rabbi of the 'Kahel Hasidim' in Immanuel.
In his words, he praised the community members who are laying the foundations of their conduct according to the guidance of the Hasidic rebbes of their generations and in light of the Rebbe's guidance. He invited the Rebbe to visit the city of Emmanuel and see up close the accelerated development of the community.
He also mentioned the visit of the Rebbe's son-in-law - the Rebbe of Vizhnitz-Beit Shemesh, who stayed in the city for a week and held a central Shabbat for the residents.
Afterwards, the community members were privileged to hear a holy talk and guidance from the Rebbe, who expanded and explained the foundations of Hasidism in building a new community in light of the guidance of the lineage's Rebbes.
In an emotional move, the Rebbe gave the new community the name 'Imrei Eliezer', after his grandfather, the 'Imrei Chaim' of Vizhnitz, zt"l, and after his uncle, 'Damascus Eliezer' of Vizhnitz, zt"l - who immigrated to Israel immediately after the Holocaust, the first of the exalted family, and planted the first seeds for the establishment of the Vizhnitz Yeshiva in Tel Aviv.
In his remarks, the Rebbe explained that he wanted to perpetuate the memory of his grandfather, to whom he was deeply attached, and the memory of his uncle who was taken to his earthly home in the prime of his life on the 2nd of Elul 5756, and left behind no descendants.
After singing melodies of awakening and anticipation of redemption, the Rebbe performed the rare mitzvah of 'the beginning of the gas'.
Through the efforts of the community's leader, Rabbi Yaakov Rosenstein, five sheep were purchased for the Rebbe. The community members sheared the wool and presented it to the Rebbe for the fulfillment of the mitzvah, which is one of the 44 gifts of priesthood.
With the kindness of the mitzvah, the Rebbe accepted the wool tray, and after clarifying and clarifying the details of the halakhah, he handed the wool to his assistant, Rabbi Yehoshua Baruch HaCohen Paksher - son of the late Rabbi Menachem Mendel Paksher, rabbi of the Vizhnitz community in Elad.
The Rebbe sincerely thanked the community members for the rare privilege they had bestowed upon him.
The community activists then presented the Rebbe with a detailed overview of the community's recent development and future plans to expand its borders. The Rebbe warmly welcomed all of the activities and wished that the Hasidic fund in the city would grow.
At the end, the community members moved to receive the holy blessing, including a group of young men who are planning to move to live in the settlement for the month of Elul. The Rebbe wished them a good and blessed return and divine help in all their endeavors.
