A wave of arson attempts in the Binyamin Regional Council: Just a day after the huge fire at Gilad Farm, several locations where hostile elements attempted to start a fire were identified today (Sunday).

In one of the incidents, which occurred near the Tzur Levbi farm, located near the British police intersection, a terrorist who came from the village of Sinjil was observed lighting a fire in the open area.

Immediately afterwards, the suspect was filmed fleeing back into the village.

Following quick action by local residents, along with additional forces arriving to provide assistance, the flames were brought under control and the fires were completely extinguished.

There were no casualties in this incident.

Head of the Binyamin Council and Chairman of the Yesha Council, Yisrael Gantz: "The wave of arson attempts we are seeing today is not accidental. This is terrorism in every sense of the word, aimed at harming the residents and the Israeli hold on the territory. I am strengthening the security forces in their action against the terrorists and their envoys.".
