Near the end of Shabbat: 19-year-old stabbed to death in a vacation apartment in the Nachlaot neighborhood in Jerusalem

A 19-year-old young man was murdered this evening, shortly before the Sabbath, in an Airbnb apartment on Shirzli Street in the Nachlaot neighborhood of Jerusalem.

Rescue forces called to the scene provided him with initial medical treatment, but he was pronounced dead at Shaare Zedek Hospital.

The background to the incident is suspected to be criminal.

Police from the Lev HaBira police station who quickly arrived at the scene located a scene with two people injured by stabbings. According to medical officials, two victims were evacuated from the scene, one with a stab wound to his hand and the other in critical condition who was pronounced dead at the hospital.

​Jerusalem District Commander, Chief Avshalom Peled, arrived at the scene and conducted a situation assessment together with the regional command and district officials. Police forces closed the scene, and forensic investigators collected findings and evidence.

At the same time, extensive searches were carried out in the area to locate those involved.

The investigation, which is in its early stages, was assigned to the Zion Area Crime Fighting Unit.

Dr. Aryeh Yaffe and Dr. Yosef Daniel Shekreji, volunteer doctors at United Hatzalah, and paramedic Danny Shmueli: "We were informed at the scene that he was injured in a violent incident and subsequently lost consciousness. We provided him with medical assistance while performing CPR and stopping the bleeding, and he was then taken to the hospital with penetrating injuries, with his condition described as critical.""

MDA paramedics Shlomo Kalman and Yinon Eisenberg said: "We saw the young man unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing, with serious penetrating injuries to his body. We gave him life-saving medical treatment, which included prolonged CPR, and evacuated him to the hospital in critical condition.".
