Despite the plot of the left-wing Yashar party to "dismantle the Haredi autonomy," Shas "council" member, Chief Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef, addressed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Yashar Party Chairman Gadi Eisenkot in his weekly class this evening, saying that while he believes there is no chance that Netanyahu will repent, it is possible for Eisenkot.

""In a country, with our many sins, a secular country. We pray that everyone will repent. There are those who will repent, there are those who I don't believe will repent. What, will Bibi Netanyahu repent? There is no chance that he will repent. Eisenkot might repent.".

This week, Inbar Harosh-Giti, a candidate in Gadi Eisenkot's Yashar party, and who was involved in establishing recruitment projects in the Defense Ministry, declared that the goal of the new left-wing party is not just to recruit Haredim to the IDF, but to go "over all areas of Haredi life," in order to "dismantle Haredi autonomy.".

She added: "We are going after all areas of Haredi life, and we do not allow Haredi autonomy to exist, because it weakens the State of Israel and makes it less secure and less economically viable.".

When asked which rabbis she was in dialogue with, Harosh-Giti replied that over the years she had worked with senior rabbis in the Haredi sector, but added: "The last thing that needs to be done is to talk to the rabbis who are at the top of the Haredi autonomy pyramid - we need to cut out the middlemen.".
