Shin Bet chief David Zini, at an event where he spoke, harshly criticized the elected echelon and detailed the reason he agreed to accept the position.

In recordings published by Amiel Yarhi on the i24 channel, Zini is recorded saying: "I have an agenda and I want to promote it - that's my job. The elected echelon doesn't really have the capabilities to manage the frameworks for which it is entrusted, and it is clear that people have become confused about their role.

"""I sit in the cabinet, it's a miracle, the elected echelon doesn't really have the capabilities to manage its frameworks because people are confused about what their role is, ministers are directing X and it will take eight months for it to be realized. I do the MAZBASH (damage minimization on the ground).".

He added: "I agreed to be head of the Shin Bet because of my ability to be loyal to the elected echelon.".

Zini emphasized: "I told him (Netanyahu) yes... and the reason I agreed is that on this issue I felt I was very qualified, perhaps more than many other good people. The ability to be loyal to the elected echelon. I have an internal engine, I have a worldview, I am not a puppet moved by the wind. I have an agenda, I want to promote it, it is my responsibility.".

In another section, Zini refers to lawyers, and what he claims is happening because of the legal system.

In a sharp statement, he said: "Look at how many lawyers we have who deal with... and from there come monsters, who harm human rights, individual rights, growth, the economy, prosperity, national security, in any direction you want. Human rights and individual rights are often used, a joke in disguise.

""Those who violate and trample on all kinds of procedures and practices are often not bad people. Please subscribe to common sense before anything else. With all due respect to the importance of lawyers and legal professionals, with all due respect to the importance of lawyers and legal professionals, they are tools.".

Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir: "Finally, the head of a senior security organization says the basic thing in a democratic country, which has become an exception courtesy of the madness of the High Court of Justice and the Advocate General: 'I am subordinate to the elected echelon.'".

""Now you will see the leftist lunatics and the sect of the legal junta's sycophants attacking him with fury. Don't be afraid, David, don't be afraid!""
