This evening (Monday), following a report received of a gathering and disorder around four Israeli vehicles in the city of Qalqilya, large forces of Judea and Samaria Border Guard fighters were called to the scene, along with IDF forces from the Panther Battalion.
Initial investigations revealed that these were 10 Israeli citizens who entered the areas of the city of Qalqilya, which is defined as Area A, in violation of the law, in order to locate a motorcycle that was stolen from them yesterday from the settlement of Elad - and was suspected of being transported to the area.
After identifying that they were Israeli civilians, dozens of locals began to gather around them, attempting to separate the four Israeli vehicles and surround them.
Upon arrival of the forces at the scene, Border Guard and IDF forces began handling the disturbance, using means to disperse the disturbances and create a buffer between the crowd and the civilians.
At the same time, forces worked to safely rescue 10 Israelis from the scene.
After being rescued from the city, the Israelis were transferred for further treatment and questioning by security forces.
Following the operation, the stolen motorcycle was located by Judea and Samaria Border Guard soldiers and returned to its owner.
The security establishment repeatedly emphasizes that "entry into Area A for Israeli citizens is prohibited by law and endangers their security.".
