Yesterday (Thursday), fighters from the Duvdevan unit conducted a targeted arrest operation in the village of Muhammas, in which ten Breslov Hasidim who entered the area after fleeing from the police were attacked.
The rapid operation was carried out following precise intelligence information compiled by the General Security Service, which identified the hiding place of the terrorists suspected of pursuing and attacking the Israeli civilians who entered the village.
The fighters raided several buildings in the village, surprised the suspects, and arrested eight wanted individuals.
The wanted persons were transferred to the security forces for further processing.
The incident in which the Breslavs were attacked occurred after they fled from a police car that sought to arrest them after a traffic violation, and while fleeing, they entered the Palestinian village of Muhammas.
The police called the IDF forces for assistance and at the same time received calls from the Braslavs who said that their vehicle had been attacked by Arabs and they were forced to flee the scene on foot.
The vehicle was found abandoned, smashed, and with personal equipment inside, which led to the announcement of a possible 'kidnapping' incident and the deployment of numerous forces, including special units and combat helicopters.
After a long hour, a report was received that the vehicle's passengers managed to leave the village area unharmed.
Despite this, the forces continued to conduct searches to rule out any suspicion of a security incident.
Later, some of the Breslavs were arrested and transferred to the police.
