The political system is in turmoil today (Thursday) following the High Court's unanimous ruling to accept the petitions to invalidate the election of Attorney Michael Rabillo as State Comptroller - and to hold repeat elections.

The coalition chose to attack the court's legitimacy head-on and even call for open rebellion in the ruling.

Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir He responded: "Those who elected themselves, in violation of the law, invalidate the legal election of the Israeli Knesset. The High Court is trampling on the Knesset, in wild anti-democratic conduct that has already become routine.".

""My most important task in the next term will be comprehensive legal reform. I will not compromise on a gram.".

Chairman of the Finance Committee, MK Hanoch Milbitsky: "This is just the promo for what they intend to do in the general election.".

Chairman of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, MK Boaz Bismuth, responded: "As the Knesset Speaker has already said, and rightly so: 'The Knesset has already said its word.'".

Deputy Minister Almog Cohen He responded: "This is a testing time. The High Court that annuls the results of the State Comptroller election will also annul the results of the central elections. I call on my friends to act like me, and not uphold the ruling of the High Court headed by the corrupt Judge Yitzhak Amit.".
