However, according to a report by Moti Castel on Channel 14, while there are strong calls at the political level not to comply with the ruling, the central assessment among legal and political figures is that the Knesset will choose not to break the rules, and will ultimately uphold the decision: a repeat vote in the plenum.
The assessment that the coalition will fold and obey the High Court stems from the desire to prevent an open constitutional crisis on the eve of the elections.
According to a report in Kan News, the Likud party estimates that it will be difficult to regain the majority needed in a repeat election to appoint Michael Rabilo to the position of State Comptroller.
According to the report, after the ruling and for several hours, the prime minister's entourage held talks with Rabilo and Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana about the options at their disposal.

Rabillo's refusal will allow the coalition to threaten a crisis and continue with the announcements that blame the High Court, but ultimately uphold the ruling.
