Police officers from the Rosh Ha'ayin station in the Central District arrested a resident of the ultra-Orthodox city of Elad, in his 20s, on suspicion of severely violently attacking a Hasidic driver during a dispute on the road on Raban Yochanan Ben Zakkai Street.
According to a report on the Walla website, the confrontation between the two began after the suspect claimed that the driver overtook him during the trip and hit the scooter he was riding.
The argument allegedly escalated into severe violence within moments.
In footage from the scene, the suspect is seen punching and kicking the driver, breaking his vehicle's mirrors and demanding money from him while shouting: "Get out, bring me money, you destroyed my scooter.".
Although the driver remained inside his vehicle, the suspect continued to kick him and the vehicle repeatedly while shouting: "Get out of the vehicle, get out.".
Passersby tried to stop the attack and shouted at the suspect: "Enough, leave him, we're calling the police.".
