Shas faction chairman, MK Yinon Azoulay, attacked Deputy Attorney General Gil Limon today (Tuesday), during a discussion in the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee on a proposal for a temporary injunction to freeze the arrests of 'defectors'.
"If you could stop the air and oxygen from the Haredim and suffocate them - you would do it," Azoulay scolded. "That's what you do, you don't care about anything.".
He later said: "You and your legal advisor will bring about a situation of civil war and bloodshed. The blood on your hands will be yours. Why are you smiling? Shame on you!""
MK Yaakov Asher of Degel also harshly criticized the legal advice to the government during the Knesset committee's discussions on the 'Basic Law on Torah Study'.
