In parallel with the 'vehicle protest' that paralyzed Israel's roads yesterday, 'fanatics' placed a truck with unprecedented digital propaganda near the gates of Prison 10.
The truck, which carried huge LED screens, presented a dynamic visual display in English and Hebrew, which directly addressed the Western world and international policymakers, asking for assistance and rescue from forced conscription.
The focus of the performance was on a personal and extraordinary call to the President of the United States, Donald Trump. Giant signs were projected onto the screens bearing the captions: "Trump, save us from Bibi," and "Trump, rescue us from the Zionist military prison.".
The messages were accompanied by pictures illustrating what the protesters defined as "the persecution of Torah scholars in Israel.".
Alongside the appeal to the international community, the performance presented a sharp and forceful ideological line against state institutions and the army. Among other things, the screens read in English: "The Zionist army does not protect Jews, it uses them as human shields" - and claimed that efforts to integrate Haredim into the army under the title of 'equality of burden' are in fact "a ruse designed to impose a Zionist brainwashing camp on us.".
In Hebrew-language messages directed inward, it was made clear in an unambiguous manner that the Haredi public would not succumb to sanctions or threats of imprisonment.
Signs such as "To prison, not to the army," "We will die, not to be drafted," as well as the direct appeal to the defense establishment - "IDF, prepare more prisons, we are all going to prison" made clear the determination of the ultra-Orthodox community.
There was also a specific sectoral appeal that read: "A Sephardi guy is not your cannon fodder," alongside clear statements of salute to those who choose to sit in military prison as long as they do not enlist.
