Raed Abu Al-Qian, an employee of a contracting company that performs engineering work on behalf of the Ministry of Defense, was killed today (Wednesday) in Gaza as a result of an operational accident.

Abu Al-Qian, a resident of Rahat, was killed as a result of a building collapse on the engineering vehicle he was in while working in Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip - as part of IDF and security forces operations in the Strip.

The collapse of the structure occurred during engineering activities, when, as part of operations to level the area, a mosque minaret collapsed on the excavator in which it was operating.

""The IDF and the Ministry of Defense share in the family's grief," it said.

During the war, at least three employees of contracting companies that carried out work on behalf of the Ministry of Defense were killed.
