A 29-year-old yeshiva student from Britain was killed today (Wednesday) in a fatal car accident in Chisinau, Moldova.

According to information in the possession of ZAKA, the young man's vehicle overturned into a wadi.

This is a Hasidic young man who studied in a yeshiva in Israel.

Local rescue forces who arrived at the scene rescued him from the crushed vehicle in critical condition, and after prolonged resuscitation attempts, they were forced to declare him dead at the scene.

An initial investigation indicates that the deceased came with a group to visit the grave of the Rebbe, Rabbi Yechiel Heshil Makrylovitz, zt"l, who is buried in the ancient cemetery in Chisinau - whose memorial service took place today.

Baruch Nidam, director of the international division at ZAKA, said: "Immediately upon receiving the report, the ZAKA international division team arrived at the scene. At the scene, they located a crushed vehicle in the wadi, and they immediately began to deal with the dignity of the deceased and with the local authorities in order to release the deceased in preparation for a flight to Israel for further burial and funeral.".

His family members were informed of the disaster.
