The US Army Central Command announced today (Monday) that it attacked over the weekend radar sites and command and control centers of the drone array in Goruk and Qeshm Island in southern Iran, near the Strait of Hormuz.
According to the military statement, the attack was carried out in response to the downing of an American drone over international waters by the Iranians.
On the other hand, the Revolutionary Guards in Iran claim to have attacked an air force base that was used by the United States to attack a communications tower on Sirik Island in the south of the country.
The official statement stated that the predetermined targets at the base had been destroyed, and even issued a threat: "Our response will be completely different if the attacks resume. The American aggressor must bear responsibility.".
