Brigade 401 commander, Lieutenant Colonel Meir Biderman, sent a message to his soldiers via the IDF communications system from the hospital grounds where he is hospitalized.
The senior officer was seriously injured by an explosive drone strike during the operational activity, and is now in the process of recovering. In a message intended to strengthen the fighters in the field, the brigade commander shared his current medical condition and expressed support for the continuation of the fighting.
""Decision stations, here's the pinnacle. I was taken from you in a storm last week, but know that I am fine, recovering and getting stronger," Lieutenant Colonel Biderman began his remarks. "Injury is part of the life of a soldier who fights for the security of his country and people.".
He referred to his own injury incident in the field: "The vile enemy tried to hurt me, to hurt us.".
In his remarks, the brigade commander also referred to the operational cost and the casualties suffered by the various units of the brigade during the fighting in recent days. "I know that you continue to fight with strength and that you have gone through difficult days, with casualties in Battalion 601 and Battalion 9. I strengthen you, embrace you, and am by your side in spirit. I believe in you, I believe in the fortitude of our spirit, and I believe in the righteousness of our path.".
Col. Biderman sent reinforcements to the soldiers who are continuing their missions, and noted that he aspires to return to the brigade as soon as possible: "Be assured that you are in good and responsible hands, be strong, and know that I am already looking forward to joining you back on the battlefield. 401, you are the one for me.".
