By order of the security establishment, the celebration in Meron is expected to be canceled.
According to a report today (Friday) by Shiloh Fried on the Ynet website, the government ministries involved in producing the celebration have been instructed to freeze preparations for the mass event, in which about 200,000 people are expected to participate, due to the escalating security situation in the north - and in light of the ongoing alarms.
Despite this, construction of the infrastructure at the complex continues, to maintain the possibility of holding the celebration if there is a security situation.
For now, an instruction has been received to freeze preparations.
So far, more than 100 million shekels have been allocated for preparations, even though initial estimates that the event would actually take place were low.
According to Fried's report, it may eventually be possible to hold an event in which only hundreds of participants will take part.
According to a report by Yaakov Hershkowitz in Israel Hayom, in an attempt to find a solution to the riot, a meeting will be held with the Prime Minister on Sunday. Invited are: Minister Shlomo Kari, Minister Ben Gvir, representatives of the IDF and police, and MK Meir Porush.
