Starting tomorrow (Thursday), the bathing season will open on the quiet beaches of the Sea of Galilee.

Rescue services will operate daily between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

With the arrival of Memorial Day for the Fallen of Israel's Armed Forces on Monday, April 20, the Union Beach parking lots will be closed from 3:00 PM until the next day (Tuesday, April 21) at 12:00 PM.

On the 78th Independence Day, lifeguard services will operate on the Union beaches until 6:00 PM in order to provide a response to the tens of thousands of vacationers expected to visit the beaches.

In addition, on Independence Day, the Kinneret Cities Association will operate the 'Kinneret Circle Line' - a free shuttle service to the shores of the Kinneret, circling the Kinneret from Tiberias to the north and from Tiberias to the south.

The line departs every two hours from the Galil Center station in Tiberias, starting from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

The union's information teams will patrol the beaches among vacationers, handing out bags for collecting trash, reusable cups to replace the disposable cup sleeves, and explaining to the vacationing public the importance of keeping water sources clean.

The Kinneret Cities Association notes that on Independence Day, there will be increased enforcement of boating, parking, and cleaning laws - on the beaches and on the access roads to them, and fines will also be issued for vehicles parked on main traffic routes, at beach entrances, and in prohibited places.

It should be noted that the union beaches are quiet beaches, and therefore music will not be played from amplification systems, including on Independence Day.

The beaches of the Kinneret Cities Association are open to the general public in accordance with the Home Front Command's guidelines. Should there be a change in these guidelines, an update will be issued to the public through the association's media and digital channels. The association calls on all vacationers visiting the Kinneret beaches to take all precautions during this complex period and wishes them a pleasant stay.
