Shelly Meshel Yogev, mother of Livi Cohen from Gigori Yad, who was murdered at the Nova party in the October 7 massacre, published today (Friday) documentation of a chance meeting with former head of the Intelligence Directorate, Aharon Haliva, during a run in Hayarkon Park, where she confronted him - and hurled harsh words at him.

In the recording, the bereaved mother is heard saying to the former senior officer: "You know who I am, and you've heard about my heart. You live a kilometer from our house, and in the three years since she was murdered you haven't bothered to talk to us once.".

According to Mashel Yogev, the Chief of Staff at the time of the massacre, Herzi Halevi, called the family, asked to visit and "arrived with a condescending look." "Unlike Herzi Halevi, who called and said, 'I ask to come.' Where are you? Where have you been? My daughter is buried because of you!".

She slammed Haliva: "You have no problem finding out about an intelligence officer, a mission manager in Southern Command. You have no problem calling Southern Command and saying, 'Tell me who Libby was.' You do it in a second, right?""

Meshal Yogev continued by calling on Haliva to take responsibility: "You need to feel humiliated and take responsibility, and not breathe and say, 'I want to come to you, I want to cry with you, I want to cry with you because I suffer too.' You need to say that you suffer like me! Don't you understand that?".

On the video, the mother wrote: "There are people here who have a duty to give answers, who should be ashamed to walk on the street, who should think twice before leaving the house and who they will meet outside, who should stop and hug those whose lives were stopped on October 7, and certainly not answer them in a shameful and disrespectful way.".

According to a report in Kan News, Livi Cohen, from the HaYad neighborhood, was murdered at the age of 22, when she tried to escape from the Nova party. Moments before her death, she called her parents and told them that she had been shot. She asked her parents to call Tomer, her twin brother, and Maya, her little sister, and said: "I'm going to die, I just want you to listen to me. I love you, Yariv, you are the best father I could have. Mom, stop yelling, just listen to me, you are the best mother we could have. Don't forget to be a good mother to Tomer and Maya after I die. Tomer, how we were blessed to live together. I love you. My Maya, never forget that you are the treasure of my life.".

Her parents asked her to get out of the car, lie down on the road and pretend to be dead, but the terrorists came to her to verify the killing at point-blank range.

She told her mother, "They're coming to shoot me again," and then a loud, prolonged barrage of gunfire was heard over the phone until the call was disconnected.

[24
39594,66665
post-1064162","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-24","tag-39594","tag-66665
