In the dead of night, at the end of the recitation of the Selichot after midnight, while overcome with holy tears and in tears, the rabbi Moshe Sternbuch began with words that shook hearts.

He began his speech with a cry that shook the room: "Come, let us return to the Lord, for the time is hard and the troubles of our hearts have expanded, and we do not know what will happen...""

Then he continued to sob and cry: "Father, Father, Father! Come back to us! How much longer will we have to suffer? You told us that we are your sons, and a father does not abandon his sons, please, do not abandon us! It is true, we have sinned before you with impudence and arrogance and have not listened to the voice of the Holy Creator, but you are a father... The Holy One, blessed be He, will help and forgive us, because it is the way of a father to forgive his son, and you will forgive us because we are your sons, for you promised us: 'You are sons of the Lord your God.'""

""The situation is bad, bad, bad!""

Continuing his words that shook those present, he referred with great pain to the harsh decrees and trials of the generation, and warned with anxiety about the future and the danger that may arise due to the spiritual decrees: "They are killing us and fighting us, alas.".

The Rabbi added: "Gentlemen! The situation is not good! It is forbidden to speak and I will not speak, God forbid, but the situation is bitter, bitter, bitter, bitter! Oh, they want to completely uproot us from God, and they want us to be a people like all the peoples and a nation like all the nations, and for this God, the Holy One, said: 'And whatever comes to your mind, it will not be,' and it will not be! And they despise God, the Holy One, and do not listen to His voice, and what is the end? They kill us and fight against us... Oh, God, the Holy One, will help and have mercy! This is a time of trouble, and God, the Holy One, will help us get through this.".

[66
21245
post-1063838","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-66","tag-21245
