On the eve of the Holy Sabbath of the Nitzavim-Vilach, the last Sabbath of 5775, a "Blessing of the Years" ceremony was held at the Talmud Torah "Ohel Torah" in Ramat Elchanan, for hundreds of children of the Haydar, presided over by the neighborhood's rabbi, Rabbi Yitzhak Zilberstein.

Rabbi Zilberstein appeared with a tallit on his head, upon his return from the circumcision of his grandson, the son of his beloved grandson, Rabbi Aryeh Zilberstein, which was held in the hall of the 'Central' synagogue in Ramat Elhanan.

Immediately afterwards, he walked towards the Talmud-Torah building, where hundreds of children were waiting for him in Shabbat clothes, with magnificent flags in their hands.

The rabbi encouraged the hundreds of students: "To the young scholars, you are doing something to us that has no reward in the world. The nations of the world want to destroy us. Today's Haman, a country called Iran, this terrible Haman, a real Amalek, he only wants one thing, to destroy all the Jews. They are not ashamed of it, they say it openly. Do you know who is stopping him? The children of Israel who have no sin in them and they are studying Torah, they are stopping him.".

""He can fight with everyone, but with the children of Israel, as I see here and as I know and get to know you, you are children who have no sin, and you study Torah, blessed be God, with desire and love and brotherhood. You stop the nations of the world from being able to kill us, you!"'

Rabbi Silberstein then addressed the hundreds of students and shared with them a moral dilemma that exists these days: "What does a child do who comes to synagogue on Rosh Hashanah, whose father paid a lot of money for him to have a good seat, and he sees that an older person has taken his seat, what should he do? There is not a single corner where he can sit, and how can he stand on his feet for 6-8 hours?!

""The child asks what to do? On the one hand, it is not proper to raise the old man from his place, on the other hand, if he does not have a tidy place, it will disturb him and he will have to move around the entire prayer.".

Rabbi Zilberstein responded, instilling Torah and earthly wisdom in the children: "Do you want to hear what I said? I told him: Ask ten people, each of whom will stand for fifteen minutes and then return to his place. In a way like the one I am now saying, then in fact each of the ten will sit most of the time, and only donate fifteen minutes or half an hour for the child, and then the child gives up and respects the elder, and does not have to stand for the entire prayer. And when the child does this, God, the Blessed, will say to the nations of the world: You have no way of killing them, because the children are smarter than you. There is no one in the world who can overcome you.".

Rabbi Datra added: "I want to say once again, the eyes of Israel are upon you. We don't know what a child is, we don't know. I do know, to bring you, to tell you to pray, no one can stand against your Torah. You are pure children, there is no sin in you, you don't quarrel, and thanks to this even the angel of death will not be able to quarrel with us, and you study Torah and answer questions so beautifully, I saw what the rabbi asked, so beautifully, so eagerly.

""We want you to study with enthusiasm, and God will see to it that no one will be able to harass us. You will save us! We will ask God to have mercy on us and see to our cause, and peace be upon you, peace be upon your home, and peace be upon all that you have, and may the administrator soon be worthy to see the coming of our righteous Messiah, and we say, Amen.".

On the eve of the holy Shabbat of Parashat Netsavim-Vilach, the last Shabbat of 5775, a 'Birkat Hashem' ceremony was held at the Talmud Torah 'Ohel Torah' in Ramat Elhanan for hundreds of children of the Haydar, presided over by the neighborhood's rabbi, Rabbi Yitzhak Zilberstein.
