In recent days, a gathering of women from the neighborhood's Abrahi community was held in the Ramat Elhanan neighborhood in Bnei Brak, in preparation for the "High Holy Days.".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the center of the conference, a special Responsorial Psalm was screened with the great Rabbi Yitzchak Zilberstein, with the questions presented by his beloved grandson, Rabbi Chaim Melin. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Question: The gabbaim of Ramat Elchanan asked me for this request - they said that every year before the 'Holy Days', the wives of the avrechim gather to be strengthened, and in years past, the rabbi would come and demand sermons of strengthening. So now they said - if I may ask three short questions, rabbi will answer, and we will pass the information on to them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What kind of receipt should you receive for Rosh Hashanah?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

So the first question they ask is what kind of acceptance to accept for themselves? There are many areas, Shabbat, modesty, slander, studying Torah, helping one's husband, what is the most important thing, it's impossible to do everything at once, one thing that they can grasp, and that will stand them in good stead on the Day of Judgment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rabbi Zilberstein began to play: 'Because I keep the Sabbath, may He keep me, it is a sign forever between Him and me.' Who composed the song? Ibn Ezra. And what does Maimonides write about him in his letters? 'The wise Rabbi Avraham Ibn Ezra zt"l revealed deep and immense secrets, only those who are in his level will understand them, for he is like our forefather Avraham, peace be upon him in the spirit.'.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Rambam stands and announces that the 'Ezra Stone' was like the soul and spirit of our forefather Abraham, and this huge 'Ezra Stone' testifies here: 'Because I keep Shabbat, it is easy for Him to protect me.' Whoever keeps Shabbat has special protection from the Holy One, blessed be He. So the best thing there is, what I have absolute knowledge of - is keeping Shabbat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don't talk about idle things on the Sabbath!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

So what does Grandpa actually suggest for women to become stronger, what point to grasp in practice?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rabbi Zilberstein: To strengthen oneself on Shabbat, not to speak any idle word, only to tell the beautiful stories, and the stories of the Bible, only the fear of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do you create an atmosphere of the Dark Ages in your home?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

They also asked: How do you bring an atmosphere of Elul and the Holy Days into the home? Today, the street is busy and it is sometimes difficult to concentrate and think that there will be a judgment soon, so how can a Jewish mother bring into the home this simple concept that there will be a judgment and we are standing trial?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rabbi Zilberstein: The woman will say to her children: 'Today, today is the day of the world, Elul, oh, I am for my uncle and my uncle is the shepherd in the roses. Such a bombastic name, I am for my uncle, and who is my uncle? The Holy One, blessed be He, and my uncle is the shepherd in the roses, to put this in the hearts of all the children in the neighborhood, I am for my uncle and my uncle is the shepherd in the roses, I am for God and God is the shepherd in the roses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is the shepherd in the roses? He shepherds them in the roses and that way the sheep don't run away from him. There are shepherds who beat the sheep so that they don't run away, and then they don't run away out of fear. But God, the Almighty, shepherds us in the roses, He gives us the good smell of the Torah and the mitzvot, and therefore we don't leave Him out of love and attraction. We need to explain this to the children at home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How will a woman who works for a living get rich?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are women who work very hard (such as programming), they barely have time to breathe between all the chores at home, so how will they strengthen themselves? As a girl, they had strengthening talks at the seminary, and learned a little morality, today she has no time to breathe, she is busy with the house and this is a great mitzvah, after all the whole house depends on her, but how can women like that who have almost no time strengthen themselves for Rosh Hashanah?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rabbi Zilberstein: The husband should come to the kollel and find a new story of encouragement every day and tell it to his wife. It is the husband's job to strengthen his wife. And is she the only one here?! He married a woman and he should take care of her. How to take care of her? Every day he comes home, he should bring some story from the Bible or from what he heard in the kollel, and strengthen her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who will look after the children during prayer times \u2013 the mother or the daughter?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are families with many children, and they ask who will take care of the children on Rosh Hashanah. So the husband is at prayer, but there is an older daughter aged 15-16, and they are satisfied with who will go to prayer? The daughter or the mother. The mother says: 'I can ask the daughter and she will listen to me, she is an educated girl, the question is whether I will stay home with the children and the daughter will go to prayer, or should I ask the daughter to take care of them and I will go to pray'?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rabbi Zilberstein: They will make a division, they will divide\u2026 meaning that half of the prayers will be kept by the mother, and half of the prayers will be kept by the daughter for the children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The power and glory of the women of Israel<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, we would like to hear words of blessing and encouragement for women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rabbi Zilberstein: To tell women like that, if the husband is Jewish and the wife is not Jewish - the children are Gentiles, but if the wife is Jewish and the husband is Arab, oh Ahmed of Jenin, the children are Jewish. That means that our power is the woman, not the man. If the woman decides something - it is holy of holies, she is the owner of the house, she determines something.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nobody knows about this, the people of the lands think that these religious people are depriving women, what nonsense.
