MK Zvika Fogel announced today (Sunday) that she will not run in the upcoming Knesset elections on behalf of the Otzma Yehudit party.

The announcement did not provide the reason for Fogel's decision not to run on behalf of the party in the upcoming elections.

MK Limor Son Har Melech was promoted to the fifth place where Zvika Fogel was.

In a statement published by Fogel on the X network, he wrote: "I had the honor of representing the people of Israel in the Knesset and as chairman of the National Security Committee, and I had the privilege of being part of the Otzma Yehudit party.

""In recent years, I have given my all for the people of Israel and the State of Israel, and especially to ensure that the State of Israel will have the upper hand after the terrible disaster we went through.

""Unfortunately, the way to continue my activities in the Knesset or in the future government is not possible as I planned. Therefore, I will not run for the 26th Knesset on behalf of the Otzma Yehudit party.".

""I wish my party members great success. I will continue to do and act for the people and the state in any way possible. I am ending a chapter, but the mission continues.".

Minister of National Security and party chairman Itamar Ben-Gvir also issued a farewell message to Fogel and thanked him for his activities over the years.

"I thank from the bottom of my heart my dear friend, MK Zvika Fogel, for years of dedicated, determined and uncompromising work for the security of the state, the people of Israel and the Otzma Yehudit party.".

""Zvika dedicated his life to the security of the state and acted over the years with a deep sense of mission, courage and faith in the path. In his role as Chairman of the National Security Committee, he led a series of significant steps to strengthen security and governance, the security bodies, and the readiness classes. He was one of the leaders of legislation in the Knesset and passed many laws, working tirelessly for the security of the citizens of Israel.".

""I thank him from the bottom of my heart for our shared path, for our friendship, for our dedication, for our loyalty, and for his great contribution to Otzma Yehudit and the people of Israel. Zvika is a man of values, a true warrior, and a great patriot, and I wish him great success in whatever he turns to and continues on his path."

MK Zvika Fogel announced today (Sunday) that she will not run in the upcoming Knesset elections on behalf of the Otzma Yehudit party.
