So since this morning I've been looking for an ultra-Orthodox avrech who receives 3,000 shekels from the state for his Torah study.

Update: I haven't found it yet.

This morning began with a ride with a taxi driver. The truth is that traveling is hard for me as it is, and talking only increases the feeling of nausea. But the driver didn't stop talking and I didn't want to hurt him. I didn't want to hurt him - and I was hurt myself.

Maybe we shouldn't be too nice.

""Elections are coming soon," he began in a tone that changed in a second. "How did this government take the money for you Haredim out of all of our pockets?".

I tried to slip in a word, to explain that all governments have always cared about their coalition partners, and yes, even a minute before an election.

But he only raised his voice.

""Shame on you, you Haredim. You are blackmailing the state, the state should pay you 3,000 shekels for studying Torah.".

Who? What? I didn't understand.

""Yes, an ultra-Orthodox avrechi traveled with me, he told me, 'I get 3,000 shekels for my Torah study.'".

I explain to him that it's a ceiling of 700 or 800 shekels, that this has also been canceled for those who are currently subject to conscription and are considered 'deserters,' but he simply doesn't listen and only raises his voice.

""Inshallah, the election campaign will come and throw you to hell. I don't want to hear the word Haredi. A hundred Mansour Abbass, but not a single Haredi in the government... You are parasites, you are thieves, you are robbing the public treasury.".

In short:
