This Sunday - Tammuz 27 - marks the 47th anniversary of the death of Rabbi Shmuel Rozovsky, Rosh Yeshiva of Ponevezh.

The Grasher, zt"l, who passed away at the age of 66, is considered by many to be the "best 'Maggid Shiur' of all time." His lessons in the yeshiva attracted many students, and his educational influence is one of the most widespread in the yeshiva world, with many of the rabbis and yeshiva heads of the generation that followed being his students.

Rabbi Shmuel was one of the greatest copyists of the teachings of the Lithuanian yeshiva to the Land of Israel. He was the distinguished student of the Gaon Rabbi Shimon Shekap, zt"l, Rosh Yeshiva 'Grodna', author of 'Sha'arei Yosher', and was blessed like him with the clarity and rare ability to explain the profound teachings of the lamad.

On the occasion of Yahrzeit Haredim 10 Publishes a sermon he delivered at the engagement celebration of his student, Rabbi Yefet zt"l - in which he said:

""We were not given the opportunity to hear all the beautiful news that the groom wanted to say. I saw from the beginning that it was worth hearing, it's a shame. I want to tell you first of all [unclear] that I once heard from the rabbi of Ponivezh, of blessed memory.

We have now read the conditions. It is written at the beginning of the conditions: "With good omen and with good fortune." So he asked: "With good fortune" – understood. When making a match, we wish "with good fortune," that it will be successful. But what does "with good omen" mean? What is meant by this? So he said, I think on behalf of someone, that the Sages tell a parable to someone who has lost a lost thing, that it is the way of the one who has lost something to seek after his lost thing. So anyway, it is understood, if we are already calling it a matter of loss, how do we return a lost thing? A lost thing is returned with signs. This is "with good omen.".

There are rabbinical signs in the Gemara and there are signs from the Torah. Here, for all intents and purposes, the groom gave us signs of Torah, clear signs. The groom has clear signs from the Torah, that he is a true groom. In fact, we don't need signs, we have known the groom for many years as a man of great talent, who always follows a path of perseverance and advancement in the Torah. But the very fact of his reciting the Torah now was a clear sign that he is a true groom.

So I want to say now something that I always say, and it's important that both the bride and groom hear this. I trust the groom to convey it to the bride, so that they keep it in their hearts.

We just read in Parashat Teruma about the building of the Mishkan. The Yalkut says about the verse, "And all the work that Solomon did was finished" – what does "all the work" mean? The Yalkut says: This is the work of heaven and earth. This means that in the building of the Mishkan and the Temple, the work of heaven and earth and creation was completed. When did creation take its true form? When was it perfected? It was in the building of the Temple.

When King Solomon built the Temple, it was said: "And they made Me a temple, and I will dwell in the midst of them." The Sages say about this: "It was not said within it, but within them" – within the heart of each and every one. This means that through the building of the Temple, holiness entered the hearts of all Israel. From the Temple, holiness flowed into the heart of each and every Israelite. The essence of the Temple is in the heart of man. The construction of the Temple is only a means so that man can build the Temple in his heart, which will be worthy of the existence of "and I will dwell in the midst of them." Then the creation of heaven and earth was perfected and took on the form of holiness.

In wedding blessings, we say: "Who created joy and gladness, bridegroom and bride." This is a special creation and creation that the Holy One, blessed be He, created. But as with all of creation, the one who must give it form is man. As it is written, "What God created to be made" - that men should make. The Holy One, blessed be He, created creation in perfection, but man must continue to instill holiness in it, to sanctify creation and make it a shining vessel. God forbid, through his actions and behavior, man can also destroy creation.

Likewise, in this creation of "joy and gladness of bride and groom," the ones who need to give it form and bring holiness into it are the bride and groom themselves. As they say, "what God created to be done" – they need to build the temple of bride and groom's creation and give it the form of holiness.

In order for them to build their temple, they need to be worthy of it. And our son-in-law, thank God, has qualified himself for this. All the years he studied in the yeshiva, he studied Torah with all his might and seriously. All his interests and aspirations are to continue studying and always ascend on the path of Torah.

May it prepare him, so that it will be worthy to build the tabernacle of the bride and groom, of the bride and groom. To introduce holiness into the creation of the bride and groom. Likewise, the bride, as we heard about her, who will be educated, educated here in this house, a house of Torah, always in the environment of Torah, and also a daughter of Torah.

So she too, both of them, the bride and groom, both deserve to build their own house. The tabernacle, the temple of their home, the temple of the bride and groom.

The Holy One, blessed be He, will help them both to be of one heart and one soul, with a common will, with a strong common will, to build a great house of Torah. A house of greatness in Torah, of greatness in Torah, fear of God and good qualities.

I want to say congratulations to the groom's parents. Here sits the groom's father, congratulations to you, congratulations, may you both be blessed with much happiness.

And I want to tell you, you are blessed for having given me a son, a son who you sent to yeshiva and to study Torah and to become great in Torah. And so you truly deserve to have a son who will be a son-in-law, who will be great in Torah.

I also say Mazal Tov to the bride's parents. Mazal Tov, blessed are they, blessed are they to have such a daughter. May the Holy One, blessed be He, help them, may they have success, and may you have much happiness. Mazal Tov, Mazal Tov.

Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh...

[Unclear] King Solomon said, "A son-in-law is like a king." [Unclear] The Midrash says [Unclear].
