This morning (Wednesday), at approximately 11:30, a traffic accident occurred between two vehicles on the road to Skov in Ashdod. A 27-year-old woman, a resident of Jerusalem, was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where doctors were forced to deliver her fetus and at the same time declare her dead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
ZAKA volunteers from the Lachish area - Ashdod team worked at the scene, treating the deceased with dignity and collecting the remains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Immediately upon receiving the notification, members of ZAKA's legal department worked with the rabbi of the Institute of Forensic Medicine, Rabbi Asher Landau, the examiners' division in the Lachish region, along with doctors from Assuta Hospital and the Abu Kabir Institute of Forensic Medicine - in order to ensure the release of the deceased for burial as soon as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The representative of the legal department, Snir Elmaleh, who arrived at the hospital to accompany the family and handle the procedures for releasing the deceased for burial, ensured that the deceased was urgently transferred to the National Institute of Forensic Medicine, for an external examination only., <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Immediately upon completion of the procedure, ZAKA volunteers take care of accompanying the family and transporting the deceased for burial in Jerusalem that same day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Snir Elmaleh, representative of ZAKA's legal department, said: "In the most difficult moments, we make every effort to preserve the honor of the deceased and the wishes of the family and to act quickly with all relevant parties, in order to allow the deceased to be brought for burial as soon as possible, while maintaining the necessary legal and halachic aspects and to ease the family's burden during their difficult time.
