The chairman of the 'Unity' party, Naftali Bennett, addressed farms and settlements in Judea and Samaria this evening (Monday) and made it clear that he supports legal construction in Area C, but opposes illegal construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

"Construction that is illegal or not in Area C or on private lands is not legitimate.".<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When asked whether he would work to evacuate projects that were established illegally, he replied: "What is illegal will not happen.". <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He later added that he supports legal settlement in Area C because, in his words, "Ultimately Area C will be part of the State of Israel, Areas A and B will be part of the Palestinian autonomy.".<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
The words provoked a sharp reaction from the chairman of Religious Zionism, Bezalel Smotrich. "Now Bennett, who will be a minister in Eisenkot's government, is saying it with his own voice: He will evacuate the farms.".<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Smotrich added: "Bennett says - a 'Palestinian autonomy' will be established, meaning a terrorist state in the heart of the country.". <\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to him, "The Eisenkot government will establish a Palestinian terrorist state and destroy the new settlements and the agricultural farms. They must not be allowed to form the next government.".<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The head of the Binyamin Council and the chairman of the Yesha Council, Yisrael Gantz, also attacked: "Naftali Bennett announced this evening the establishment of a terrorist state ten minutes from his home in Ra'anana. Already today we are facing an army of about 50,000 armed soldiers of the PA - a corrupt entity that encourages terrorism and is led by Iran.". <\/p>\n\n\n\n
