Rabbi Silberstein was surprised and replied sharply: "Yes, yes, apparently the Messiah must come, we all know what is said in the curses: 'And you will be driven mad by the sight of your eyes which you will see.'".<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He immediately explained: "It is said that we are crazy because of the sight of our eyes, who see such strange things, to see such a great friend who was so for us, and helped us so much, and even his daughter converted... and now something has happened that makes us be against us, this is a certain examination of what is said in the curses, 'And you were crazy because of the sight of your eyes.'".<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After the lesson, Rabbi Zilberstein noted what the Gaon Rabbi Elchanan Wasserman wrote: "The period we are currently going through is a unique one, especially on the stage of Jewish life. We are eyewitnesses to events that we have never witnessed before. Events burst upon us with astonishing lightning speed and we stand stunned and without understanding what is happening. 'And you were driven mad by the sight of your eyes.'".<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When Rabbi Silberstein was asked: "Is it possible that this is related to the persecution that is persecuting the world of Torah? There are those who say that because yeshiva students are persecuted here, then there is no divine help for the state here?" - he replied: "Everything can be true, we need to ask the great men of the nation here.".<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When those present requested: 'The rabbi should give a halachic ruling that will bring imminent salvation,' Rabbi Zilberstein responded: "It is clear, it is written in the Torah and you were crazy at the sight of your eyes, now is the time, surely salvation will come.".<\/p>\n\n\n\n
