Alongside the construction boom and population growth, a quiet economic revolution has also been progressing in Binyamin in recent years. New industrial zones are developing, leading companies are choosing to expand their operations in the area, and new industrial hubs are being built in the heart of the country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The high demand for the new Maccabim Industrial Zone, in which all 18 lots were snapped up within a short time of the opening of the tender, illustrates this trend well. The zone is now moving from the planning stage to the implementation stage, after many years of promotion and preparation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The developers have already received the plots, development work is advanced, and these days the tractors are starting to work in the field in preparation for the construction of the first factories and logistics centers. According to estimates, all the plots will be built and inhabited within about five years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The area is expected to be populated by companies from the fields of industry, logistics and commerce, and in the first phase, companies with significant national activity were already selected. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among others, this concerns Oron Industries, Far-Lee Food Marketing, one of the largest companies in Israel in the field of food distribution, which plans to move existing operations from Etorah and Mishor Adumim to the location. Alongside them, additional companies from the iron, construction, import and trade industries will operate in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Council's Industrial Zones Administration manages the new industrial zone and provides entrepreneurs with professional support throughout the entire process, from winning the plot, through planning, licensing and construction, to operating the business and its ongoing management in the industrial zone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to estimates, the project is expected to generate revenue of approximately 10 million shekels per year in the future and strengthen Binyamin's growth engines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, the council emphasizes that Maccabim is just one of a series of economic moves currently being promoted throughout the region. Alongside the development of existing industrial zones, additional employment and industrial complexes are being planned and promoted, including the Barentis Industrial Zone, as part of a broad move to expand employment sources, attract companies and anchor factories of importance to the Israeli economy, and increase the authority's revenues for the continued development of services and infrastructure for residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
