The ceremony to replace the head of the Mossad was held at the organization's headquarters, in the presence of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Speaker of the Knesset, ministers, the Chief of Staff, heads of the defense establishment, outgoing Mossad head Didi Barnea, and the organization's wives and staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Major General Goffman took up his position after serving as the Prime Minister's Military Secretary and after approximately 31 years of military service, during which he served, among other things, as Commander of the Etzion Brigade, Commander of Brigade 7, Commander of Division 210 and Commander of the Israeli Defense Forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Netanyahu congratulated: "Roman, you have overcome all obstacles, and you are appointed head of the 14th institution of Israel. I congratulate you in my name and on behalf of the entire people. Rise and succeed! You brought enormous value to the position of the Prime Minister's military secretary.
