Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu participated today (Monday) in a conference of the IDF's senior command staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the conference, Netanyahu addressed the officers and answered their questions, presenting a strategic overview of the war situation in all sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his opening remarks, the Prime Minister praised the IDF commanders and fighters for their activity and heroism throughout the war, in the air, at sea, and on land.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Netanyahu explained to the commanders the change in the balance of power vis-\u00e0-vis Hezbollah: "In Lebanon, there have been tremendous achievements - the elimination of the rocket array that threatened the entire country, the creation of a security zone that prevents the possibility of an invasion into the north of the country, and now also prevents the firing of direct anti-tank missiles, but also allows us to change the situation in Lebanon.".<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He clarified that the IDF does not limit itself to the border line: "We attack like now - both in the security zone, also north of the security zone, also north of the Litani. Our freedom of action to thwart threats - immediate threats and emerging threats, this is the agreement we made with the US and also with the Lebanese government.".<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Alongside the praise, Netanyahu presented a sober picture of the situation: "I don't delude myself that this will come easily, I don't think so either, I say this honestly - the work is not done. There are still two major threats from Lebanon, from Hezbollah: the threat of the 122 rockets, the threat of the drones and UAVs. This requires a combination of operational activity and technological activity. The Minister of Defense and the Chief of Staff know this well - we are making a very large technological effort to solve these problems.".<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Prime Minister revealed data on the erosion of the terrorist organization's capabilities: "And if we solve them through a combination of operations and technology, we are essentially on the way to disarming Hezbollah - because this is the main weapon they have. This is what it has left, it has about 10% of the missiles it had at the beginning of the war. But these are still troubling the residents of the north, and I greatly appreciate their resilience, their steadfastness.".<\/p>\n\n\n\n
