Muhammad Majdala, a journalist for News 12, today (Wednesday) sharply criticized the chairman of the left-wing 'Yashar' party, Gadi Eisenkot - following conflicting messages, he said, that came after his meeting with heads of authorities in the north and the claims about joining Ra'am in the government.
In a post he published on his social media, Majdala wrote:
""Take a minute to understand what is going on with Gadi Eisenkot and his campaign:
Eisenkot arrived yesterday for a meeting with the heads of the Bedouin authorities in the north. His team asked the heads of the authorities to issue a joint statement of support for him in the elections. Some were reluctant, because they are supporters of the National Liberation Front, the Joint List, or the Democrats. In the end, they compromised on a joint image and wished Gadi Eisenkot success as prime minister.
During the speeches of the heads of authorities, the issue of including the Ra'am in the coalition came up. Eisenkot did not respond. Afterwards, according to some of the heads of authorities, they caught him for a side conversation, where he told them that he was holding talks with Mansour Abbas and that he would work to include the Ra'am in the coalition after the elections.
Since the statements were published, there have been countless denials, accusations of lying, and heavy pressure from Eisenkot's campaign staff on the heads of the authorities to join his denial - without success, as of the time of writing.
All this so that the largest party in the 'liberal-democratic' camp, God forbid, is not caught red-handed in what its party chairman himself said in the past - that he does not exclude Mansour Abbas and the Arabs who constitute about 20% of all citizens of the State of Israel.
Do you understand?""
