Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations Danny Danon and Rabbi Yosef Yitzhak Neumann, Chabad emissary to the diplomatic community in New York, filmed a greeting video on Rosh Hashanah Eve in the UN General Assembly Hall.
During the video, the sound of the shofar was heard for the first time in the hall.
In the video, Rabbi Neumann addressed the words of the Lubavitcher Rebbe and the meaning of bringing light to a place.
""As the Rebbe taught us, in the 'house of darkness and lies' one must light a candle of truth that will illuminate the entire place," he said.
