
Following a joint investigation by the Northern District Central Unit and the General Security Service: An indictment was filed this morning (Monday) in the Nof HaGalil-Nazareth Magistrate's Court against Yaakov Shibli, a 19-year-old terrorist from the Shibli community, after he identified with ISIS, studied and took training for the terrorist organization.

The terrorist was arrested about three weeks ago by the police and the Shin Bet. His interrogation revealed that he expressed explicit identification with the Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist organization, viewed materials from it, and swore allegiance to it.
Upon completion of the investigative proceedings, the Northern District Attorney's Office filed an indictment charging him with the offense of membership in a terrorist organization.
This indictment is the fourth in recent days filed against Arabs from the northern region for identifying with and supporting the ISIS organization.
""The General Security Service and the Israel Police are acting resolutely against any activity that endangers the security of the state and its citizens and against any activity in which Israeli citizens seek to act on behalf of terrorist organizations against Israelis, and will continue to act resolutely to thwart any activity against the State of Israel," the police statement said.
