According to him, he struggled with the terrorist with his hands and even chased him, and only then did he notice that he had been wounded in several places on his body.
Jacobs recalls: "I fought with him, punched him, pushed him, he fell to the floor and I was with him. We both lay on the floor, I tried to pick up a stone to throw at his head and I didn't get there. He had his knife, the knife broke, only the blade remained, he tried to keep stabbing me with it. I got to him, choked him, and then he managed to escape, ran towards his car. I chased him with a stone and then I saw that I was covered in blood and had stab wounds to my head, neck and hand.".
The injured man's parents, Abdiel and Panna, said from his hospital bed: "We thank the Creator, that we were blessed and that on the day of the creation of the world, the 25th of Elul, our son Nathaniel was reborn. Now his condition is good and stable, but without the heroism and miracles, it could easily have ended differently.".
""We must not accept a situation in which an Arab uprising will arise in the State of Israel with the aim of slaughtering and massacring Jews. The IDF and the country's leaders must wake up and take a really tough hand against every murderous village from which a terrorist emerges. Destroy houses, collect all weapons and not be satisfied with routine operations.".
""The attack also proves once again the great importance of the farms that control the open areas and keep the terrorists away from the settlements themselves.".
