
On the occasion of the year 2017: Data published today (Sunday) by the Population and Immigration Authority on the birth rate in Israel in 2016 shows that cities with large concentrations of Haredi families are at the top of the blessed birth rate.
According to data from the Population and Immigration Authority for 2016, 179,398 babies were born this year.
And in which cities were the most born? Well, alongside Bnei Brak, which is in second place, the relatively small Modi'in Illit made it into the top 10.
These are the top ten cities:
Jerusalem leads by a wide margin - 23,336 births
Bnei Brak - 8,225
Tel Aviv-Yafo - 7,405
Beit Shemesh - 6,974
Ashdod - 4,031
Haifa - 3,421
Rishon LeZion - 3,413
Netanya - 3,343
