The 'Ratcha Da'Oriya' ceremony took place today (Wednesday), led by Maran Gerad Lando, with the participation of thousands of Tiberias residents.
After the ceremony, the Rosh Yeshiva delivered words of encouragement: "Blessed be G-d, the voice of the Torah resonates everywhere, and especially here in the city of Tiberias, which in recent years has been blessed with having many hundreds of Torah scholars from all walks of life and denominations make their home here.".
""Studying the Torah and practicing the Torah is the most sublime thing that exists in the world, and learning the Torah is like no other.".
The head of the yeshiva added: "We all know that the world of Torah is in a very difficult situation, and the persecution of the authorities weighs heavily on the world of Torah every day, and every single Torah scholar feels the burden of the decrees.".
Maran HaGard Lando emphasized: "We do not depend on such and such an unknown person, or on such and such a prime minister, but solely on the Creator of the world, and we all expect and hope that He will have mercy on His people and in particular on the world of the Torah. And now that we stand before the days of judgment, it is the duty of all of us to increase in Torah and good deeds, to arouse the mercy of Heaven so that God will decree good decrees for all of us.".
""May there be a will written and sealed for a good life, and may it be quickly redeemed in our days, an eternal redemption.".
