Hundreds of avrechim and crowds of yeshiva students participated in the central CHI Elul gathering in Jerusalem, led by the Rev. Rabbi Chaim Shalom Deutsch, head of the Anshi Ma'amed Yeshiva.

The gathering was held in the Chasdei Yosef hall, around arranged tables.

The Rosh Yeshiva spent a long time explaining the work of the month of Elul in the Hasidic tradition - according to which the true Peshat is how Hasidic people viewed Elul and is the straight and correct path even according to Peshat.

During the gathering, he recalled memories of the legendary masfia, Rabbi Shlomo Chaim Kesselman, zt"l, and at the same time, the supervisor of the Ponbizh Yeshiva, Rabbi Yechezkel Levinstein, zt"l, how he saw with his own eyes his enthusiasm for the High Holy Day prayer, specifically from the passages that speak of the towers of the Creator.

Following the gathering, the guest, Rabbi Menachem Erlanger of Bnei Brak, arrived and continued the gathering until the wee hours of the night. In his remarks, he addressed the question of how to translate the things learned and said at the gathering into actual practice, and continued in the footsteps of the old Rebbe, who lowered the lights of the holy Baal Shem Tov below ten tefahim.
