Knesset Speaker MK Amir Ohana asked - like any parent - to start the school year alongside his children, Ella and David, and to accompany them on the morning of the first day of school.
But a protest awaited him along the way: a row of defamatory ads placed along the route - from his home to the educational institution.
Ohana reacted angrily. He said that the very choice to place the ads on the path his children had walked crossed a line.
The Knesset Speaker wrote on the X network: "There is no violent, despicable, and heartless camp like the one that is capable of tarnishing the first day of school for my children, Ella and David, who are entering sixth grade this morning.".
""That's it - the entire route from home to school. It's not for me - it's for them, and their classmates and the school.".
He wondered to the public: "Is this the image of the country we want to live in? Is this how we would want to resolve the political disputes between us? It's up to you.".
