The hatred of the left: Presenters Eyal Berkowitz and Erel Segal clashed today (Monday) over the treatment of supporters of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, after Berkowitz said that he cut ties with friends due to their political positions.
The remarks were made after Berkowitz watched an interview with Netanyahu on the "Patriots" program last night on Channel 14.
""The whole B.I.B. side - I can't stand you. I'm sitting here with you, respecting you, I can't stand the fact that you're blind, that you're slaves," Berkowitz told the lieutenant general. "I have friends that I've cut off contact with because they're B.I.B.s., that's how I feel. What to do?".
Segal took issue with Berkowitz's words and confronted him about his willingness to boycott people for their positions.
""Can't you say that people shouldn't be boycotted for what they do?" he asked.
Berkowitz replied that for him, political choice also has a price in personal relationships. "I can't have my friends be B.I.B.s. You take sides and there are prices for that. There are prices for that for me too.".
Segal reminded Berkowitz of his past positions: "You were a Bibist until you turned around and now they love you.".
Berkowitz replied: "I have sobered up and I don't understand how you don't sober up.".
