Nine days until the lists close: The conflict within the Likud leadership over the results of the primaries intensifies this evening (Sunday) - when Minister Haim Katz responds to Minister Gila Gamliel's harsh attack, accusing her, her family members and her associates of spreading lies and slandering him.

Last week, a recount was announced at the Be'er Yaakov polling stations. Minister Haim Katz claimed that MK Eti Atiya overtook Minister Gila Gamliel - and was placed in 25th place on the list, while Minister Gamliel was relegated to an unrealistic 35th place.

The final results released tonight definitively confirmed the change in their positions.

According to the updated national results, Atiya is in 18th place with 22,210 votes, while Gamliel is ranked 20th after receiving 21,754. The gap between them is only 456 votes.

Following the results, Atiya is the third woman in the ranking and is ranked 25th by virtue of the representation guarantee. On the other hand, Gamliel, after the introduction of the districts and the reserves, is pushed to 35th place.

Minister Gila Gamliel said in response: "We have submitted a petition to the court. I will not let Chaim Katz steal my elections for Eti Attia.".

Minister Haim Katz said in response: "For the past week, I have been enduring a barrage of lies and slander from Mrs. Gamliel, her family and associates. The only reason for the restraint I have imposed on myself is for the good of the Likud on the eve of fateful elections for the future of Israel.""
