Military police forces, dressed in civilian clothes, raided a family home in Kiryat Shmuel in the Kiryat Shmona region last night (Monday) at around 11:00 PM, and arrested a 22-year-old man, a graduate of the 'Rabbi Pari' yeshiva in Haifa.

According to a report by the 'Am Qadosh' organization, the young man was transferred immediately after his arrest to the military detention camp in Jalmi.

During the night, the young man managed to contact his family and updated them on his condition.

At the organization's direction, he immediately spoke with a lawyer and received initial legal advice from him in preparation for the legal proceedings that await him. During the day, he is expected to be transferred to Prison 10 and appear before a military judge.

Am Kadosh notes that this is an unusual event, as in recent times no arrests of 'deserters' have been made in family homes in urban communities.
