Liel Ifergan, 26, from Beit Shemesh, the suspect in the murder of the late 7-year-old Hillel Dadon, was brought to the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court today (Tuesday), where the police requested an extension of his detention.

The court granted the police request and extended his detention until 3.9.26.

According to a report on the i24 channel, suspicions are growing that Ifergan was under the influence of drugs when he committed the murder.

His lawyers requested that he be sent for psychiatric evaluation during his detention, and after it was performed in recent days, it appears that he is fit to be held under detention conditions.

Ifergan, who was arrested shortly after the murder near the scene, is being questioned by the police and the collection of evidence against him is in progress.

Ifergan is suspected of murdering the child Hillel Mordechai Dadon and seriously injuring his 4-year-old cousin last week in a home in the city of Beit Shemesh.
