Gilad Erdan, chairman of the Unity Party, arrived today (Tuesday) to participate in a demonstration in Kerem Shalom against the entry of foreign forces into Gaza - and encountered resistance from some residents.
According to a Channel 7 report, Erdan addressed the protesters: "The entire artificial separation between Hamas and those who live in the Gaza Strip is a complete lie. Anyone who lends a hand to the continued reconstruction of Gaza, before the complete destruction of the Hamas terrorist organization, is returning to the concept that led us to October 7 - and this is what is happening before our eyes.".
A resident of the surrounding area burst into his words and shouted: "Why did you come to do politics? Where have you been until now? Why are you so stupid?""
Erdan approached the resident and said: "I don't talk politics. In my opinion, the governments of which I was also a member made a mistake.".
The resident was not convinced. "You're talking politics. You had no interest in coming here. Take a sign and demonstrate, don't just talk. Don't do it on my back. Why did you come to the area until today? To get more votes? No way.".
