Another one abandons Benny Gantz: MK Yael Ron Ben-Moshe announced today (Tuesday) her departure from Blue and White.
She wrote: "A short time ago I informed Benny Gantz of my final decision not to take part in the new political framework he is working to establish. This is one of the most difficult decisions I have made in my life. I made it out of my commitment as a public emissary, as a representative of the confrontation line in the north and as a representative of the working settlement, out of appreciation and gratitude to my son.".
""I realized in recent days that all my attempts to influence the path and my son's decision were unsuccessful," she wrote. "The new path does not leave the same perceptual space of 'center from the start' that Blue and White had at the beginning of the journey. The effort to create unity is more than worthy, but in my opinion, in the current path and at this time, not only may the effort be in vain but may also cause harm.".
According to her, "The scenario in which some of the members of the new framework will not be willing to join the government that Gadi Eisenkot seeks to form in order to bring about the change that the country needs is, in my opinion, an extremely great risk, and for me a bright red line.".
Benny Gantz responded: "Yael, thank you for your partnership in the journey and the great work together for the residents of the North in particular and the citizens of Israel in general. Good luck!""
