Iranian hackers last month disabled a power plant in the UK for four days.
According to a report last night (Sunday) in the British newspaper 'Sunday Telegraph', this is an unprecedented and successful cyber attack, behind which are elements linked to the Iranian regime.
The report also indicates that the attack was carried out against a small electricity producer, and at no point did it have a negative impact on the national electricity grid or the electricity supply in Britain.
British officials declined to name the power plant for security reasons.
Following the attack, the British government briefed CEOs of energy companies on how to keep their facilities secure.
The attack coincided with reports that water infrastructure in the United States was affected by similar cyberattacks by hackers linked to Iran.
