Yesterday (Saturday), during an operational activity by Border Police soldiers in the Jerusalem Encirclement in Kafr Aqab, the soldiers identified two suspects as they were attempting to dig at the bottom of the separation wall, using electric digging tools - with the aim of creating a human crossing from the territories of Judea and Samaria to Israeli territory.
Upon identifying the suspects, Border Police soldiers entered Kafr Aqab and surprised the two while they were committing the act.
The suspects tried to flee the scene, but after a short chase, they were located and arrested inside a nearby residential building.
The tools used by the suspects were seized at the scene, including a large drill and long electrical cables.
The two suspects, residents of Kafr Aqab, were arrested and transferred for further investigation.
