After the chaos at Ben Gurion Airport: Pinchas Idan, chairman of the workers' committee of the Israel Airports Authority, announced today (Sunday) to the Likud court that he does not intend to appeal Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's decision to expel him from the party.
The message he sent read: "Following the decision of the Honorable Prime Minister, Mr. Benjamin Netanyahu, to expel me from my Likud membership, I hereby announce that I have no intention of appealing the Prime Minister's honorable and respectful decision.".
Idan added: "For over 50 years, my family and I have been members of the Likud center, and since the prime minister decided that I was the malicious cause of the damage occurring in the party - I hesitated to challenge his determination.".
Idan reiterated that he was not the one who gave the order to stop activity at Ben Gurion Airport and claimed that he "even demanded that an uncompromising investigation be carried out to find the person responsible for giving this order.".
He signed the statement by saying that he "will continue to faithfully represent the employees of the Authority, to whom and only to whom I am committed.".
