Rescue forces were called this morning (Thursday) to Ezra Street in Bnei Brak, following a report of a child forgotten on a shuttle bus.
The drivers provided medical treatment to a 5-year-old boy with signs of heatstroke - after he had been in the closed bus for about an hour and a half.
By the grace of God, he was transferred in stable condition for further treatment at Mayanei Hayeshua Hospital.
Rescuers Zvi Lustig and Pinchas Haber: "When we arrived at the scene with a rescue ambulance that we manned, we found a 5-year-old boy with signs of heatstroke and dehydration, after being forgotten for about an hour and a half. We gave him initial medical treatment, which included cooling and administering fluids, and by the grace of God he was evacuated in a rescue ambulance in stable condition for further treatment at the hospital.".
The Hatzala organization once again warns: With the start of the school year, we call on parents and transportation teams to be careful and ensure that no children are left in the vehicle. Forgetting a child in the vehicle, especially on hot days, could end in disaster in a short time. Be sure to re-inspect the vehicle at the end of each trip - it could save lives.
